Tear Resistance (Die B, Die C)

Purpose: This test method is used for measuring the tear strength of rubber materials.

Sample: One (1) slab, 6 x 6 x 0.08 inches, or Die B or Die C

Basic Description: A test specimen is placed between two grips and pulled in tension direction at 20 in/min until failure.  The tear strength is calculated.
